Welcome to the Carazo Salas lab pages!
We are a research group located in the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine of the University of Bristol UK working at the interface between Stem Cell Biology, Quantitative Imaging & Biological Big Data.
We use human Pluripotent Stem Cells (hPSCs), CRISPR gene editing, high-throughput/high-content microscopy, biological Big Data approaches and Artificial Intelligence. Our aim is to learn the rules of cell fate choice & help make predictive, data driven and stem cell therapeutics realities.
Our lab has been generously funded by many funders through the years. Previous funders include the European Research Council (ERC), Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP), The Wellcome Trust and the BBSRC. Current funding includes from HFSP, the Wellcome Trust and the EPSRC.
